Alloy XRF technique analysis

Alloy has good conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and other properties, copper alloy content of each element in the different influence on the performance of the copper alloy metal directly. So on the chemical composition of copper alloy rapid and accurate analysis of the production and processing of copper alloy is very important. With X ray fluorescence analysis method analysis of copper alloy with fast speed, wide range of detection, but the scene in situ non-destructive analysis, etc. Focusing on the brass, bronze and copper using X ray tube excitation of portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer to carry out the fast analysis of major elements of the copper alloy.

1. Set up a single color and multi-color X-ray fluorescence primary and secondary X fluorescence intensity formula, build the element content in the copper alloy and the theoretical equation of the mathematical relations between the fluorescence intensity. Between each element are analyzed in detail the influence of matrix effect, absorption enhancement between each element in copper alloy were studied.

2. According to the national standard (GB/T5231-2001), the provisions of the chemical sample preparation of brass, bronze and copper alloy. Element analysis for the copper alloy composition and element content change characteristic, put forward to solve the problem of granularity effect.

(3) by A large number of experiments, choose the best X-ray tube excited state under the condition of tube voltage and tube current, 22 kv and eight mu A respectively.

4. The different wavelet basis function is adopted to measure the X-ray fluorescence spectrum is smooth, noise reduction, deducting background and deal with the decomposition of overlapping peaks, the results show that manganese bronze and brass alloy alloy using sym7 wavelet basis function, cupronickel alloys using sym7 wavelet function before using coif4 wavelet basis function two wavelet processing to get the best treatment effect.

5. The experimental results show that the brass alloy between Cu and zinc content and the recommended value maximum relative error is 1.7% and 1.7%; Manganese bronze between Cu and Mn content and the recommended value in the maximum relative error is 0.4% and 0.4%; Tin bronze between Cu and Sn content and the recommended value in the maximum relative error is 1.2% and 4.3%. White brass samples the content of Cu, Ni, Co and the recommended value between maximum relative error is 1.5%, 1.5% and 6.3%, respectively. Visible, use the portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer analysis of copper alloy samples not only rapid, efficient, and can not damage the sample and analysis elements, content is wide and analysis accuracy can meet the production needs.
